Positive: The guesthouse was clean and well maintained

Negative: It’s a little far from the port and airport. It would have been nice to have the port and airport conditions available. I would suggest going to Daiso or other shop and getting a portable whiteboard & markers to put the port / airport conditions on. 17km is a long way to go to find out Saigo Port info is inaccurate.

Positive: One of our favourite stays on our trip! Tatsuya san and Tomo San made us feel so comfortable and welcome, helping us book nearby restaurants and giving us recommendations for what to do in the area. All the facilities were excellent, the beds were so comfy and the guesthouse had a really cool, traditional Japanese feel to it. We really enjoyed our evening and would have loved to have stayed longer- Would recommend to anyone visiting Oki!

Positive: Authentic 120 year old village guesthouse that we got to experience in a very friendly and welcoming way. We could park our rental car . Use the kitchen. It was on a river and only metres from the coast where we could see the sunset over the Japan Sea. Onsen ten minutes away.

Positive: The hosts were simply amazing, they pick up us from the port (but it isn’t their regular service) and took us to watch the fireflies, we drank some beers with otsumami. They were actively assisting or entertaining us with interesting chats or specific tour advices. I recommend the kayak cave tour, we spent a really nice moments and gorgeous pics from the island.

Negative: This isn’t an accommodation’s problem, but there wasn’t any bus or public transportation to reach the place, the host told us that usually the visitants rent a car to go any site along the island.

Positive: It's a very cute guesthouse with the most welcoming hosts. The guesthouse is located right next to a little secret path to the sea and next to a little seaside town with amazing rock formations and views. I was travelling without a car and the public transport is a little difficult, so the hosts always made sure that I can get to places without any issues.

Negative: Not a fault of the guesthouse, but if you don't drive, it might be hard to get around the island. Better plan in advance.

Summary: I had a very comfortable stay, met a lot of lovely people and felt extremely cared for. Thank you!
